Terms of Use.

1. General

The forum supports the low-level exchange of information and facilitates discussion on current and future military operations. You are fully entitled to express your opinion.

Yourdefence.nl is an initiative of the Ministry of Defence. We applaud your participation in the forum, as long as you adhere to these terms of use.

2. Accepting the terms of use.

You agree to be bound by these terms of use when you visit or participate in yourdefence.nl.

You are always able to read the terms of use when you visit the yourdefence.nl. Therefore the terms of use are also applicable when you enter yourdefence.nl via a so called deep-link. This prevents you from claiming that you're not aware of the terms of use.

3. Modifications of the terms of use.

The editorial board of yourdefence.nl reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace the terms of use at any time. If the alterations constitute a material change to the terms of use, yourdefence.nl will notify you. What constitutes a "material change" will be determined by the editorial board at their sole discretion, in good faith and using common sense and reasonable judgment. You shall be responsible for reviewing and becoming familiar with any such modifications. Use of the services by you following such notification constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Terms of Use as modified.

4. Description of service.

Yourdefence.nl may change, suspend or discontinue the services including any content for any reason, at any time, including the availability of any feature or content. Yourdefence.nl may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or all of the services without notice or liability.

5. Your registration obligations.

As a condition to using services, you are required to register with yourdefence.nl on the site. You shall provide yourdefence.nl with accurate, complete, and updated registration information. Failure to do so shall constitute a breach of the terms of use, which may result in immediate termination of your yourdefence.nl account and the removal of your contributions to yourdefence.nl. Your user ID will be the same as your email address. You may not (i) use as a name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person; (ii) use as a name subject to any rights of a person other than you without appropriate authorization; or (iii) use as a name that is otherwise offensive, vulgar or obscene. Brobag.com reserves the right to cancel your registration at its discretion. You shall be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Services are available only to individuals who are at least 17 years old, whether acting on their own behalf or as an authorized employee or representative of a corporation or other business entity. If you do not so qualify, do not attempt to register for or use the services.

6. User conduct.

All communication made possible by or as a result of the workings of this forum - such as opinions, advice, knowledge or any other form of expression - is the responsibility of the author.

Yourdefence.nl is not responsible for statements by way of this forum or by the users of the forum. As a condition of use, you promise not to use the Services for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms of use, or any other purpose not reasonably intended by yourdefence.nl. Any misbehaviour can be reported via yourdefence@mindef.nl.

By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree not to use the Services:

a. to abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other yourdefence.nl users;

b. to contribute any content that is infringing, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, offensive or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party;

c. for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. If you are an international user, you agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content;

d. to post or transmit, or cause to be posted or transmitted, any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any yourdefence.nl user;

e. to create or submit unwanted email ("Spam") to any other yourdefence.nl users or any URL;

f. to violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws);

g. to submit stories or comments linking to multi-level marketing schemes;

h. with the exception of accessing RSS feeds, you will not use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the site for any purpose without our express written permission. Additionally, you agree that you will not: (i) take any action that imposes, or may impose in our sole discretion an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure; (ii) interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the site or any activities conducted on the site; or (iii) bypass any measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the site;

7. Information security.

Your contributions shall have no classification as set down by the Ministry of Defence.

8. Copyright.

Your are entitled to consult the information on yourdefence.nl, download it for personal use or reproduce it on the condition that you mention the source in accordance with copyright laws.

Users are not permitted to publish anything without the prior written consent of the third party that owns the information. If you believe that your copyrighted work is being infringed, notify the editorial board so we can remove it or work out a suitable arrangement.

9. Links.

Yourdefence.nl and its users may provide links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. These links should be informative and will be tested on their reliability. Yourdefence.nl can remove any links that are not in accordance with the terms of use. Yourdefence.nl however does not have full control over the links on the forum, which means there is no guarantee on the completeness and accuracy of the link, or the availability of the websites. As a result yourdefence.nl is not liable for any direct or indirect damage due to the use of the aforementioned links.
